It was an exciting second episode of the season yesterday! We had two OKC List natives trying to crack their way back into the Top 10 as well as Doc and Dominator trying to redeem their recent losses. Now that Farmtruck has it’s new motor, Chuck finally tightened up all of Death Trap’s issues and Doc’s tweaked Street Beast, it was time to shake things up in the bottom 5 of OKC’s 10 fastest street-raced cars list.
It was fun seeing Big Chief back as the Street Outlaws race-master for the night. After all, Farmtruck can’t start his own race against Chuck, and Farmtruck and Chuck can’t call out the gatekeeper position before racing each other. Doc was eager to break back into the Top-5 and therefor called out Derek for a little sleeve-redemption. After putting in his giant new motor, he exposed a lot of weaknesses in the Street Beast. Doc had to tidy a few things up to get all of the power to the ground and get down the track without blowing his tires off the road. He claims it’s all taken care of now and ready to fight back his #1 title. Dominator on the other hand has been on a losing streak and is hoping to just maintain his spot from Kamikaze’s callout before he makes his way back into the top 5.
Race night started out with Doc vs Derek. It was a tight race and a lot was on the line (no pun intended). Doc has been out of the Top 5 for a little over a year now and chomping at the bit to get back up. The light went off and Derek spun his tires while Doc made one of the hardest and straightest passes anyone has seen from Street Beast in a long time. Derek started to gain some ground at the end before the road filled with white smoke, signaling a complete transmission failure in the Silver Unit. Doc won back his sleeves, gained some extra cash and was officially back in the Top 5 of OKC’s List.
Next was Kamikaze going after Dominator. The ElCo was asleep at the light and Dominator took off hard. The ElCo kept with it to see what would happen and somehow sped ahead at the last minute. It turns out that Dominator ran out of gas and was accusing the ElCo team of foul play. There were witnesses claiming they saw Flip’s ghost draining gas out of Dominator but in the end it was only a gas leak. Hopping on Dominator’s moment of weakness BoostedGT decided to call him out. Both cars left the line hard, it was neck and neck, back and forth and in the end BoostedGT won by a fender. Dominator couldn’t believe he just lost to two small tire cars and was pushed back to the gatekeeper position. He wasn’t done for the night either.
Next was the race to see who would get to call out Dominator between Chuck and Farmtruck. Both made semi-solid passes but Chuck took it at the end by one and a half car lengths. I’m sure that’s not the last we’ll see of Farmtruck though. Meanwhile Chuck was ready to take on Dominator. It’s interesting seeing a big-tire, big-block car like Dominator at the back of the list. It’s a tough gatekeeper position to break into, especially for a small-tire care like the Death Trap. Chuck smoked his tires halfway down the track and Dominator won by about 6 cars without even having to use his second kit of nitrous.
For now we’ll have to wait and see if everyone can hold their positions and if Farmtruck and Chuck get another chance to break back onto the infamous Street Outlaws OKC top-10 list.
